LUNI Dismisses Acting Director. Samuel Patti over Alleged Financial Misconduct.
MONROVIA, Liberia: Liberians United for National Impact, Inc. (LUNI) has dismissed Mr. Samuel N. Patta from his role as Acting Director, citing serious allegations of financial misconduct and breach of trust, according to an official letter signed by the organization’s leadership.
In a dismissal letter dated May 28, 2026, LUNI Founder & CEO Bishop Wilfred D. Williams, Sr. and Executive Director Rev. Dr. Julian T. Williams announced Patta’s “immediate and indefinite dismissal” from all duties, responsibilities, and representations connected to the diaspora-led nonprofit.
The letter states the decision followed documented allegations that Patta received *US$4,000* intended for processing LUNI’s legal registration documents but failed to provide completed documents or satisfactory accountability. It also notes he was entrusted with *US$1,420* to secure office space reportedly linked to DUJA High School, but did not provide an MOU, receipts, or verifiable proof of payment despite repeated requests.
LUNI further accused Patta of making “false and misleading” claims that the organization belongs to him personally because he is listed as an incorporator. The leadership emphasized that “LUNI is a nonprofit movement established for the benefit of the Liberian people and not the private property of any individual incorporator or officer.”
Citing LUNI’s bylaws and constitutional provisions, the letter said any officer involved in criminal activity, financial misconduct, misrepresentation, or actions that endanger the organization’s integrity may be removed immediately without prior warning.
Effective immediately, Patta has been relieved of all LUNI duties and instructed to cease representing himself as an officer, director, incorporator representative, or spokesperson. He was also asked to return all organizational documents, records, funds, and property.
*LUNI leadership has directed that all organization property and documents be turned over to the Bishop of the AGM Church, who serves as LUNI’s Board Chairman.* The letter warned that failure to comply may result in further legal and administrative action.
“We remain committed to integrity, accountability, transparency, and the original mission of LUNI: ‘Beyond Borders. Building Liberia,’” the leadership wrote.
Patta has not issued a public response to the allegations as of press time. LUNI says it will continue its work on youth empowerment, skills training, and nation-building initiatives in Liberia and across the diaspora.
